WELCOME
When I am out in Southampton, every morning I take a walk on the beach. Last year, I started picking up trash, and this year I am posting these photos in order to share them with you.
Picking up trash has been enlightening and gratifying. I am heartened by President Obama's call for volunteerism and I hope to inspire others to clean up their beaches and neighborhoods.

I was in Westhampton beach for two weeks in July and found the exact same thing. I averaged 7 balloons a day. We walked on the beach every morning for two weeks straight and was amazed. One day we picked up 13 balloons. Why are there so many? What can we do about this?
